Equine 2009/10 > Endurance > Euston 11th July'10
The third event of the 2010 season at Euston Park took place on Sunday 11th July. The current weather theme in the UK, looked like it was coming to an end, with a brisk but warm wind an during the morning clouds blocking out the sun. This promised some relief for the horses and riders during the trek to come. #this promise didn't hold true however, as the day progressed the clouds turned white, fluffy and sparser with the wind dropping later the temperatures rose again, not however as high as late.
The day was marked by racing finishes in all except for the 120km Young Riders class, and over all the competition was as keen as ever. There was however one incident to cloud the day, when a lady Japanese rider fell and was knocked unconscious. She was then taken to hospital by the East Anglia Air Ambulance, we all hope she was not badly injured and recovers quickly.
The 80 km class had 15 starters and 12 finishers.
